| July 21, 2004 Fans at last Sunday's Ozzfest in Bristow, Virginia, "wondering why the crowd broke into the 'Ole' soccer chant during Black Sabbath's set should know that it was the work of the SOC, or 'Shirts Off Crew.' A revolving lineup composed of members of second-stage acts including Slipknot, Atreyu, Bleeding Through and Lamb of God, the SOC can be seen running backstage and through the crowd urging concertgoers to go shirtless."--mtv.com Ozzfest tour dates |

| July 20, 2004 "Events impresario David G. Mugar resigned yesterday as executive producer ot John F. Kerry's troubled Boston Pops concert set for convention week, complaining that the city's host commitee has not given him the money he needs to stage the event," reports Yvonne Abraham in the Boston Globe. We don't need any concerts in the convention week, Bozos! We can already expect so much disruption and inconvenience because of the convention. We don't need a concert. How incredibly selfish the politicians are. No public inconvenience or expense is too great if it might somehow inflate the politicians' egos. If there really is a terrorist threat, why should people be going by the thousands to some schlocky concert? --- Trash barrels have been removed from many streets in Boston. If the city would make some attempt to clean up what people throw on the ground, it wouldn't be so bad, but I doubt that the city will make any such attempt. -- You can find out to which presidential campaigns your neighbors, or anyone for that matter, have been contriibuting to at Fundrace 2004 Neighbor Search. |
